Why Couples Love Lido Beach

Lido Beach is a wonderful choice for couples who want the beauty of a Sarasota beach wedding with a more relaxed atmosphere.

While Siesta Key is world-famous and can become quite busy, Lido Beach is usually much less crowded, making it especially appealing for couples who prefer a quieter and more intimate setting.

The sand is still gorgeous and white, the Gulf views are beautiful, and the sunsets make an incredible backdrop for both the ceremony and wedding photos. Our couples absolutely love getting married here.

Another thing we love about Lido Beach is its location. T

he areas where Sarasota County allows beach weddings are conveniently located near St. Armands Circle, where couples and their guests can find beautiful restaurants, shops, and plenty of options for celebrating after the ceremony. This makes Lido especially convenient for destination weddings because the beach ceremony can easily become part of an entire wedding-day experience.

💙 From Lu's Experience
If you love the idea of a Sarasota beach wedding but would prefer something a little quieter than Siesta Key, I always recommend considering Lido Beach. You still get beautiful white sand, gorgeous Gulf sunsets, and that Florida beach-wedding feeling our couples love, but Lido is typically less crowded. I also love how close the wedding locations are to St. Armands Circle. After the ceremony, couples and their guests have so many wonderful options nearby for dinner, drinks, shopping, or simply continuing the celebration together.

Planning Your Lido Beach Wedding: Tips From a Local Wedding Planner

One of the reasons we love Lido Beach for weddings is how convenient it is for couples and their guests. There is plenty of parking close to the beach wedding locations, which can make things much easier when you have guests traveling from out of town.

You also don't have to worry about figuring out the beach permit process on your own. Plan My Beach Wedding takes care of the necessary beach permits for our couples, so that's one less thing on your wedding planning list.

💙 From Lu's Experience

Lido Beach is beautiful almost year-round, but there are a few things I always tell my couples when they're choosing a date. July and August can be extremely hot, so if you have flexibility, I prefer the other months of the year for a beach ceremony.

April can also be a little tricky because of spring break. We tend to have many more young visitors on the beach during that time, so couples hoping for a quieter ceremony should keep that in mind when choosing their date and time.

What I love about Lido is that it's generally less crowded than Siesta Key while still giving you that gorgeous white sand and beautiful Gulf sunset our couples come to Sarasota for. There's plenty of nearby parking, and the approved wedding areas are close to St. Armands Circle, which makes it very convenient for couples who want to continue celebrating at a restaurant after their ceremony.
